Cristina Dinella Makowicz is a Lehigh Valley, and Philadelphia based pianist, organist, music director and educator. Cristina is VOICE Choir Director, and Piano Instructor at Cedar Crest College in Allentown PA. She serves as the accompanist for Allentown Symphony Chorus and Concord Chamber Singers. Cristina has served as accompanist for Temple University and Cairn University. Cristina is organist and cantor at John Paul II Ordinariate parish in Bethlehem, PA and a frequent choral ringer for Catholic liturgies in PA and NJ.
Cristina is an active music director and pianist for professional, collegiate, and educational Musical Theatre. Recent theatrical credits include "The World According to Snoopy" (Hedgerow Theatre), “Disenchanted!” (Marietta Theatre Company) “Oliver!” (Atlanta Lyric), “Ragtime” (Kennesaw State University), and “Heathers” (Kennesaw State University). Past credits include “Peter and the Starcatcher” (Cape Rep Theatre), “The Bremen Town Musicians: Opera to Go” (Opera Saratoga) and “Defendant Maurice Chevalier” (Off Broadway).
Cristina holds a Master’s of Music in Piano Performance from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music.
Cristina resides in Bucks County, PA with her husband Andrew. When not playing and teaching music, Cristina enjoys cooking and fitness.
